The Dads Club has developed three summer programs this year. We are very excited about providing opportunities for the children in our community.
Mr. Dave Beyer of Dave Beyer Drums is working with parents and children in rhythm and drumming workshops.
Mr Farzad Kohan of Farzad Kohan Art has lead summer painting classes. He has been painting with kids from the community teaching them color theory, technique and integrated painting styles.
Community Parents Stephen O’Bryan and Aileen Louie are back again leading the VW Robotics Club . These parental volunteers oversee 20 kids from the community as the kids learn about constructing and programing Lego NXT Lego Robotics.
The kids from VW Robotics have been competing in the First Lego League. They do more then just build and program robots. The research real world problems and then come up with solutions for the problems. The idea is to teach kids the practical aspects of how science and technology can address some of the problems of the world.
